In Ephesians, we are told that we “are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.” That’s a big part of our purpose–to do the good works for which we were created, glorifying God in the process.
This is what engaging the Bible moves us toward. We miss out on so much if we settle for meandering through the good works God has prepared; we’re invited to tackle those opportunities, to participate in God’s work, and live up to the example set for us by Christ. Diving into God’s Word–and understanding his will for us–helps us to see opportunities and live in such a way that we seek to glorify God through our actions.
That’s why, in 2022, the CSB team is challenging ourselves and our followers to Live It Up! Let’s be intentional about living lives that are enriched by Scripture and inspired to action.
We’re excited to focus on this theme throughout the year with content and stories that showcase how the Bible and faith transform our approach as believers to different areas of life—like art, identity, health, relationships, work, and more. Our prayer is that we would grow to understand the purpose we’re given in God’s Word and subsequently live out our lives on purpose.
We’re excited to grow together in leading, serving, reading, apologizing, forgiving, loving, and living on purpose!
